Sydney Sweeney’s ‘Bathwater Bliss’ soap launches: Limited edition bars made with her real bath water

Sydney Sweeney turns a bizarre fan request into reality with her new ‘Bathwater Bliss’ soap made in collaboration with Dr. Squatch — blending exfoliating sand, pine bark, and her actual bathwater. Available from June 6.

Only 5,000 bars will be produced, making it one of the most exclusive celebrity beauty crossovers to date. In the lead-up to the launch, Dr. Squatch is holding a giveaway from May 29 to June 5.

Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney is back in the spotlight with a headline-grabbing product launch — a soap bar made with her actual bath water. The limited-edition “Bathwater Bliss” soap, created in partnership with men’s grooming brand Dr. Squatch, will officially be available for purchase starting June 6.

The bold move follows Sweeney’s continued embrace of her status as one of Hollywood’s most sexualized stars. Over the years, some fans have jokingly (and not-so-jokingly) expressed a desire to own or consume her bath water. Instead of ignoring the odd fascination, Sweeney leaned into it with flair and humor.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” she said in a cheeky press release.

The “Euphoria” and Anyone But You star first partnered with Dr. Squatch last year in a viral bathtub-themed ad. For this new product, the brand harvested real bathwater from a shoot where Sweeney took an actual soak in a custom tub. According to her interview with GQ, “I actually got in there and I took some soap, and we had a nice little bath and they took the water. So it’s my real bath water.”

In addition to the novelty of the water, the soap itself contains pine bark extract, exfoliating sand, and an earthy blend of fir and moss — a scent Sweeney says is inspired by her rural roots. “It smells super manly,” she said. “But then there’s some city bath water mixed in.”

Only 5,000 bars will be produced, making it one of the most exclusive celebrity beauty crossovers to date. In the lead-up to the launch, Dr. Squatch is holding a giveaway from May 29 to June 5. Fans can enter by following the brand on Instagram, liking a designated post, and leaving a comment. A hundred lucky winners will receive a free bar.

Sweeney, who has frequently spoken out against the oversexualization she faces in the industry, seems to be reclaiming the narrative on her terms. In a 2024 interview with Variety, she shared how public obsession with her appearance often makes her feel powerless. “People believe that I’ve signed my life away… that me as Sydney is not for me anymore,” she said.

Despite this complex relationship with fame, she appears to be having fun with the quirky soap launch. “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible,” she said. “Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural.”

With only a few thousand bars available, “Bathwater Bliss” is poised to sell out fast — a steamy blend of celebrity, controversy, and soap that’s turning heads for all the right (and weird) reasons.
