Amid speculation about her breakup with Vijay Varma, Tamannaah Bhatia has shared her perspective on love and relationships. While neither has addressed the rumors, Tamannaah’s recent conversation on Luke Coutinho’s podcast has sparked discussions.
Tamannaah firmly believes that love can only be unconditional. She emphasized that whether it’s with a partner, family, or friends, the moment love comes with expectations, it stops being love and turns into a mere transaction.
“I think people confuse what love is and what a relationship is. The moment it becomes conditional, it ceases to be love. Love is an inside job, it’s about how you feel for someone. The moment you expect people to behave a certain way, it becomes a business transaction,” she said. She also added that true love means letting the other person be free.
The actress admitted that she has always been happier in relationships than being single. However, she is cautious about who she lets into her personal space. “I love the feeling of companionship, but it’s important to choose wisely. When you let someone in, you give them access to influence your life, so self-awareness is key,” she explained.
According to Pinkvilla, Tamannaah and Vijay have parted ways but remain friends. A source revealed, “They mutually decided to split weeks ago but continue to support each other.”
The duo first sparked dating rumors when they celebrated New Year’s together in Goa in 2023, shortly before starring in Lust Stories 2. In a past interview, Tamannaah addressed wedding rumors, saying, “Shaadi bhi ho sakti hai, kyun nahin? (Marriage is also a possibility. Why not?)”
While neither has confirmed the split, Tamannaah’s perspective on love suggests she values emotional freedom over expectations.
