- Disney+ and Hulu will livestream three major music festivals.
- Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits are included.
- The festivals will stream during summer and fall 2026.
- Disney is preparing to merge Hulu and Disney+ into one app.
- The livestreams will also feature interviews and backstage content.
Disney+ will join Hulu this year to livestream three of the biggest music festivals in the United States.
On May 18, Disney+ announced that it will partner with Hulu to air coverage from Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits during the 2026 festival season.
The festivals included in the livestream partnership are Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee, from June 11 to 14, Lollapalooza in Chicago from July 30 to August 2, and Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas, from October 2 to 4.
At the moment, Disney+ and Hulu have not revealed full programming details or confirmed which performances and artists will appear in the livestream coverage.
According to Deadline, Disney has recently increased its focus on music-related content. During the company’s upfront presentation for advertisers in New York last week, there was a long appearance by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. The event also ended with a performance by singer Olivia Rodrigo, who first gained attention through the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark.
The joint festival coverage also comes as Disney prepares to combine Hulu and Disney+ into one updated streaming app. The new unified app is expected to launch by late summer.
This will mark the sixth year that Hulu has streamed content from these music festivals. All three festivals are produced by Live Nation.
Lauren Tempest, Disney’s head of content planning and partnerships for direct-to-consumer services, spoke about the collaboration in a statement.
“Music festivals are among the most electric, can’t-miss moments in culture, and now Disney+ and Hulu subscribers around the world can experience the excitement,” she said.
She added, “As we continue to extend our live offerings, we remain committed to bringing fans the biggest, most iconic moments right as they happen, and are thrilled to bring that vision to life with Live Nation.”
In addition to livestreaming performances, Disney+ and Hulu will also bring back the “Live Set.” The Live Set is an on-site content studio at each festival. It will include artist interviews and behind-the-scenes footage throughout the festival weekends.
This year’s Bonnaroo lineup includes performances by Skrillex, Four Tet, Vince Staples, The Strokes, Turnstile, Major Lazer, Geese, Wet Leg, Noah Kahan, and Kesha, among others.
Lollapalooza will feature artists including Charli xcx, Lorde, JENNIE, Tate McRae, and Olivia Dean.
Austin City Limits will include headliners such as Charli xcx, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, Skrillex during weekend one, Kings of Leon during weekend two, and The xx.
