A PROFESSOR accused of sexually harassing two female PhD researchers at IIT-Mandi has been removed from his job, the institute said on Friday.
The professor had been compulsorily retired based on the report of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) constituted to investigate the sexual harassment case, Registrar Sambhav Pandey told PTI.
The decision was taken by the IIT Board. The professor has challenged the decision. (PTI)

The main opposition Congress party said it would file a petition over the revision after Chief Justice Surya Kant declined a request from Rahul Gandhi for a meeting.

Nepal’s latest flash floods have left five people missing and entire communities facing the aftermath of destruction, as rescue teams search through affected areas of Gorkha District. Homes have been swept away, bridges damaged and families forced to flee as authorities race to locate those still unaccounted for.
The disaster struck along the Budhi Gandaki River on Sunday (11). By Monday (12), authorities were continuing search and rescue operations in Chumnubri Rural Municipality, where the Nepali Army had rescued 95 people from flood-affected areas.
