INDIA reached a special milestone on Friday (17) by administering 20 million Covid-19 vaccine jabs till evening. It was a new record as the country gave these many vaccines on a single day and it came on a day when prime minister Narendra Modi turned 71.

Indian health minister Manuskh Mandaviya thanked the country’s health workers for making the country’s mega vaccine drive, which started on January 16, a resounding success.

India has so far administered 790 million doses of the vaccine, of which 594 million are first doses.
