Two Muslim men give death threat to PM Modi from Udaipur: 'You lit the fire, we will douse it'

TWO Muslim individuals were found issuing life threat to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi in a video that surfaced on social media on Tuesday (28).

In the video, one of the two individuals with a knife in his hand, was heard saying, “Hey Narendra Modi, listen! You lit the fire and we will douse it.” He then brandished the weapon in his hand to say, “I pray to God that this knife will reach your neck one day.”

The video came to the fore the day a shopkeeper was murdered by two men in Udaipur in the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan. The shopkeeper, a tailor by profession, was beheaded in a busy market area in broad daylight allegedly over a social media post that he did in support of now suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) official Nupur Sharma who made controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad during a live television debate last month.

The two men later recorded a video admitting to killing the man.

Internet services were suspended in Udaipur as tension spread.
