FORMER India captain Virat Kohli, who is going through an unusually long rough patch with the bat, is up against a barrage of criticism but the 33-year-old, who is known for his flamboyance, has tried to put up an unfazed demeanour.
On Saturday (16), Kohli took to Twitter to share a motivational quote with a cryptic one-word caption -- 'Perspective'.

The picture that the ace batter shared showed him kneeling down in front of a wall showing a pair of white bird wings. Around them a quote said, "What if I fall? Oh, but darling, what if you fly?”

The meaning of the quote was subject to interpretation -- optimistic or pessimistic -- and through it, Kohli certainly wanted to convey to his critics the message that everything is determined by the perspective of looking at it, at the end of the day.
Kohli, who scored only 16 runs off 25 balls in his comeback game for India against England in the ongoing three-match one-day international (ODI) series at Lord's on Thursday (14), will get a final chance to score some runs on the English soil. He failed to score many runs in the only Test, two T20 internationals and the one ODI he has played so far and now, the fans expect him to score some in the series-deciding ODI in Manchester on Sunday (17).
Kohli will next be seen only in August as he has been rested for the white-ball series against the West Indies starting July 29.
