According to reports, the local police said the lioness is a pet and escaped from her cage while being taken for medical treatment.
Pakistan’s Samaa TV later reported that the animal, which was walking down Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal boulevard, had finally been caught. It said wildlife department officials reached a building near a local college where the lioness went and captured it.
