India's cricket fans had yet another heartbreak in the knock-out stage of an International cricket Council (ICC) event when they were blown away by England by 10 wickets in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
The former champions made 168 for 6 in 20 overs after England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and asked them to bat. The Three Lions had no problem whatsoever in chasing down the target in only 16 overs with all wickets to spare.
Twitter was abuzz with reactions after the Men in Blue failed to overcome yet another semi-final hurdle at a World Cup, following their defeats in the 2015 one-day international (ODI) World Cup (against Australia); 2016 T20 World Cup (against the West Indies); and 2019 ODI World Cup (against New Zealand). The cricketing powerhouse was also mocked for allegedly concentrating more on the Indian Premier League instead of international matches.
