Ace India batter Virat Kohli blasted a unbeaten century in T20 internationals, his first ever, to get back to form and dedicated it to his actor-producer wife Anushka Sharma and little daughter Vamika saying it was his better half who had stood by him through the tough times. Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar applauded the Indian power couple calling Sharma an “iron lady” and Kohli a “man of steel”.

“I mentioned one special person – Anushka – who stood by me through these tough times and I mentioned her as she has seen the absolute raw side of me throughout all these months. She was the one putting things in perspective for me, kept giving me the right kind of guidance, vision moving forward and I came back into the system as a relaxed person,” the former India captain said.

Kohli’s 122 not out in 61 balls powered India to 212 for 2 in 20 overs against Afghanistan in Asia Cup in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s five wickets for four runs wrecked the opponents as the former champions won the match by 101 runs.

You always support the truth and that’s why nothing bad will happen to you at the end remember, you will always be remembered as the greatest in the history of cricket,” the former fast bowler said.
