  • iPhone 18 Pro may come in black, sky blue and burgundy.
  • Silver could be dropped from the Pro lineup, according to a new leak.
  • The iPhone 18 Pro could also cost more than the $1,099 iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple could be preparing to give the iPhone 18 Pro a noticeable makeover when it unveils the new Pro models on September 9. A new leak suggests the company may bring back black, drop silver and introduce a burgundy shade alongside sky blue.

Weibo tipster Fixed Focus Digital reportedly said the iPhone 18 Pro is already in full production and will be available in three colors: sky blue, pure black and burgundy. The information was reported by MacRumors.

The colors have appeared in earlier iPhone 18 rumors, although the names have varied. The burgundy shade has also been described as “dark cherry” in previous reports.

If the latest information is accurate, silver may be missing from the lineup this year. That would mark a change from the iPhone 17 Pro, which came in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver.

Black, meanwhile, could make a return to the Pro range after being absent from last year’s Pro models. The color was still available on other iPhone models, including the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 and iPhone 17E.

The colors are only part of the mystery

The latest leak does not completely settle the question of what the iPhone 18 Pro will look like.

Previous reports have pointed to silver, and an alleged video showing dummy iPhone 18 Pro Max units included dark cherry, blue, silver and black. That means the final retail lineup remains uncertain until Apple officially reveals the phones.

The new Pro models are expected to be among the main products showcased at Apple’s September 9 event, which the company has announced under the name “Surprise and Shine.”

Apple has not officially confirmed the colors, specifications, pricing or availability of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

There could, however, be a more important detail for buyers than the color options: how much the new phones will cost.

Apple’s recent prices raise another question

The iPhone 17 Pro started at $1,099, but Apple’s recent pricing moves have raised speculation that the next Pro models could cost more.

Apple has increased prices on some of its other products amid an ongoing memory shortage that has pushed up costs across consumer electronics.

The new Mac Mini with an M6 processor, for example, starts at $899, compared with $599 for the M4 version it replaced.

That does not mean the iPhone 18 Pro will necessarily become more expensive. There has been no official pricing announcement from Apple. But if the company continues to face higher component costs, pricing could become one of the bigger questions surrounding the September launch.

The event is also expected to feature Apple’s first foldable iPhone, reportedly called the iPhone Ultra, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

For now, the color story remains firmly in rumor territory. But with the September 9 launch approaching, Apple’s decision on what the Pro models look like, and how much they cost, should soon move from leaks to official announcements.
