AFTER the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at Dharamshala was called off mid-way on Thursday, a video of a cheerleader describing the situation at the stadium has gone viral.
As per media reports, a blackout happened after air raid alerts in the neighbouring cities of Jammu and Pathankot.
Pakistan launched drone strikes at Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan on Thursday (8) night.
At the stadium, the floodlights became dim, before turning off as the players and the umpires left the field immediately.
Later the assembled fans at the 23,000-capacity stadium were evacuated from the stadium under tight security.
A fan told India Today that no announcements were made about the evacuation or any security concerns, to avoid panic, and the security forces handled it smoothly.

“It is still very, very scary. We want to really go out of Dharamshala. I hope the IPL people are gonna look after us. It was very, very scary. I do not know why I’m not crying, I think I’m just in shock,” she said in the video as the stadium went dark.
