Manchester United maestro Cristiano Ronaldo was left disappointed during his side's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Thursday (20) as he was benched for the entire match.
The 37-year-old was seen storming off the tunnel with only minutes left before the final whistle to go which meant not all is well in the team managed by Erik ten Hag.
With the star striker, who started the Red Devils' last home game against Newcastle United, relegated to the bench again, it seemed United might fail again to convert their fine-approach play into goals as they had 19 shots on the target in the first half without any success.
United eventually succeeded in finding the goals in the second half when Fred and Bruno Fernandes scored in the 47th and 69th minutes, respectively.
Ten Hag was elated over the win and said it was the best performance the team has produced so far this season.
"You see we are developing, but you see the last weeks how we want to play. We get better every time.
"Against this Spurs, which for me is a magnificent team, it was really enjoyable to watch it."
However, when the Dutch was asked about Ronaldo's acting of walking out, he said he would deal with that the next day and wanted the focus to be on the team's show at the moment.
United will now next play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Ten hag's boys are now placed fifth in the points table with 19 points from 10 games. Arsenal are at the top with 27 points from the same number of games.
