The veteran actor claims he has not joined any social media platform as he is a ‘very private person’

VETERAN actor Pankaj Kapur, known for his roles in “Karamchand” and “Maqbool,” recently reflected on his relationship with social media, prompted by his absence from Instagram posts during his granddaughter Misha’s eighth birthday celebration.
This experience led him to briefly consider joining social media, though he ultimately decided against it, citing his preference for privacy.
In an interview with PTI, Kapur explained, “It was my granddaughter’s birthday, there were a lot of (posts on) Instagram that were happening but I was nowhere. So, I missed being a part of that Instagram business. But, I think I’m a very private person and I like keeping to myself.”
Despite feeling the impact of social media, Kapur remains hesitant to join, stating that he has pondered the idea but hasn’t found the courage to do so.
Kapur, who will soon appear in the film “Binny and Family” alongside newcomer Anjini Dhawan, acknowledged that he relies on his children to stay informed about current trends.
He praised Dhawan, expressing satisfaction with her performance in the movie and noting the importance of the younger generation’s knowledge and instincts.
The upcoming film, directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, delves into the dynamics between three generations, a theme Kapur finds relatable.
“All of us have had grandparents, I have grandchildren now. So, we can see what are the issues between grandparents and grandchildren, what is the bonding between them, how they are in a way interdependent,” he said.
“Binny and Family” is scheduled for release on September 20, featuring a cast that includes Rajesh Kumar, Himani Shivpuri, and Charu Shankar.
