Ace India cricketer Rishabh Pant was on Wednesday (4) shifted out of a private hospital in Dehradun in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand where he met a horrific car accident on December 30 for further treatment in Mumbai, sources said.

Pant, 25, was under treatment at Max Hospital in the capital of Uttarakhand following the accident which happened while he was driving from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee in Uttarakhand but lost control on the highway and hit a road divider.

The car caught fire following the impact and Pant had a close shave. He sustained injuries all over his body and was rescued by the staff members of a bus.

A plastic surgery was done here on his forehead for the cuts he suffered in the accident.

There was also pain in his right leg due to a ligament injury suffered in the accident, sources said.

Doctors were waiting for the pain in his leg to subside for conducting an MRI scan, they added.
