Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer has decided to hang up his boots and next week's Laver Cup in London will be his final outing on the court. The decision has left millions of fans dejected as the winner of 20 Grand Slam titles is considered among the greats the game has seen.
While the fans mourned the star player's exit, a new statistic was revealed by the ATP and it was something which overwhelmed the admirers of Federer once again. It said in a tweet that while the 41-year-old Federer competed in 1,526 singles and 223 doubles games in his long career, never did he retire from a single one of them, which spoke volumes about his commitment to the game and fitness level.
The revelation saw several fans praising Federer for one more reason on Twitter, with one even saying that it was most the underrated piece of stat in Federer's career.
