Arsenal are doing great in this year's Premier League with three wins in as many games but ahead of their fourth match which is against Fulham, the Gunners have a concern over the injury of winger Reiss Nelson who has been ruled out of the clash on Saturday (27).
While Mikel Arteta's side was able to welcome back Fabio Vieira from injury against Bournemouth last week that Arsenal won 3-0, although as an unused substitute, but Nelson had worse luck ahead of the Fulham game at the Emirates Stadium.
According to a report by The Mirror, the 22-year-old Nelson was hoping to make a real impact for his first team this season after coming back from his loan spell at Dutch team Feyenoord for which he scored four goals and seven assists overall. He also helped the team to finish third in the Eredivisie and make the final of the inaugural Europa Conference League.
It all started well for the youngster this summer as he played in all but one of the Gunners' seven pre-season friendlies.
He then featured on the bench for Arsenal's first game in the league against Crystal Palace (they won 2-0) three weeks ago but was excluded for the 4-2 win over Leicester City in their first home fixture a week later.
On August 12, the side confirmed that Nelson picked up a muscular injury on the eve of the match. Arteta said, “He felt something in training. We scanned it, and the doctor came with some bad news. It’s a muscular injury, and hopefully, he will be back soon.”
But with him missing the next game against Bournemouth and the upcoming match against Fulham, it remains to be seen when Nelson can make that much-needed comeback.
