Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently confirmed that she will be working with Angelina Jolie, although she did not share details about the project, if it is a film, an advertisement, or a philanthropic collaboration.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has built a strong career in Hollywood after years of steady work. Now she is also preparing to return to Indian cinema after a seven-year break. Her comeback film is Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli.

Varanasi is a large pan-Indian action-adventure film. It is also one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Reports say the budget is between about $135–150 million. The film has been shot in several locations, including Georgia, Antarctica, Africa, and Hyderabad.

Priyanka spoke about the film’s ambition and scale. She said, “What we are trying to do is something so ambitious and of a scale not seen for a very long time. I am very privileged and excited not just for India but also the world, because this will be a massive global release and people will be exposed to what we have been working on for the past three years.” The film is set to release worldwide on April 7, 2027.

Even with her return to Indian films, Priyanka continues to focus on Hollywood projects. She recently confirmed that she will be working with Angelina Jolie. She did not share details about the project. She did not confirm if it is a film, an advertisement, or a philanthropic collaboration. The announcement has created interest among fans. She also said she admires Angelina Jolie, Penélope Cruz, and Salma Hayek for their careers and influence.

Priyanka has several international projects lined up. She will star with Orlando Bloom in a PPP co-production. She also has Mira Nair’s biographical drama Amri in development. Another project is Judgment Day, directed by Nicholas Stoller. The film features Will Ferrell, Zac Efron, Regina Hall, and others.

She has also become more selective about her work. She explained that her career path has changed over time. She said, “When I started, scripts were not customised for me. My husband Nick (Jonas) recently said (quoting singer Beyoncé) that ‘You are on the other side of your sacrifice’ I can now pick and choose and create my own projects.”

Priyanka now focuses on projects that match her interests. She continues to work across Indian and global cinema. She says this balance allows her to grow as an actor and explore different kinds of stories.
