Producer and fashion entrepreneur Shafeeq ur Rahman is expanding his creative ambitions onto the international stage. On Monday (8), he announced his entry into Hollywood filmmaking with his first international production, The Empty Address.


Rahman shared the news through his Instagram account, revealing that the project will be produced under his banner, The Star Life Hyderabad. The film is described as a blend of comedy, suspense, and romance and is planned as a multilingual production.

“A new journey begins. I am delighted to officially announce my first Hollywood film production. The EMPTY ADDRESS, a production under my banner The Star Life Hyderabad. This multilingual project will be presented in English, Hindi and Telugu, bringing together creative talent and audience across borders,” wrote Shafeeq ur Rahman in the Instagram caption.

The film will be directed by Sagar Doshi, known for As Dusk Falls. According to Rahman, production will take place across multiple international locations, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

He also indicated that additional details about the cast, storyline, and production plans will be revealed soon.

“While this is only beginning of the journey, I am exited to share more details about the cast, story, and production in the coming week,” added Rahman.

Reflecting on the significance of the project, Rahman described the move into international cinema as both a personal milestone and a professional responsibility.

“As someone who has spent years building platforms in fashion entertainment and global events, stepping into international cinema is both a dream and a responsibility. Every new chapter comes with challenges. opportunities, and the chance to create something meaningful. I am grateful to my family, friends, supporters and every one who has been part of this incredible journey. Your encouragement continues to inspire me to dream bigger and reach further. The journey from Hyderabad to Hollywood starts here,” concluded the producer-fashion entrepreneur.

Rahman comes from one of Hyderabad’s prominent families. His father, Mohammed Khaleelur Rahman, served as a member of the Rajya Sabha and passed away in 2011 at the age of 75. His mother, Farrukh Jamal, belongs to the influential Jagirdar family of Hyderabad, while his wife, Sahebzadi Maheen Nikhath, is from the city’s Royal Nizam family.

Beyond entertainment production, Rahman has built a reputation in the fashion and events industry. Through The Star Life Hyderabad, he has organized more than 200 fashion and lifestyle events worldwide. In 2022, he was appointed City Partner of Fashion TV (FTV).

Rahman entered television production in 2015 with the horror-comedy series Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost on Life OK. He later produced the romantic drama Dahleez on StarPlus and expanded into mainstream television with shows including Savdhaan India Crime Alert on Star Bharat, Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein on Zee TV, and Crime Patrol on Sony Entertainment Television.

His most recent television production was the supernatural thriller Nazar, starring Monalisa, which aired on Star Bharat in 2021. With The Empty Address, Rahman is now set to begin a new chapter in international filmmaking.
