Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has emerged as one of India’s most talked-about social media personalities. Once known mainly for being seen alongside Bollywood celebrities at parties and events, he now describes himself as a content-driven personality whose lifestyle and access have become part of his business model. In a recent interview, he spoke openly about his earnings, brand deals, and the concept of monetizing social interactions.

Speaking on the YouTube channel Learn by KK Create, Orry shared details about how much he earns from digital content and appearances. He revealed that a significant portion of his income comes from social media collaborations and events. Highlighting a major earning milestone, he said, “Like last month, I made $91,000 on one deal, like one reel.”

Beyond brand deals, Orry explained that a unique part of his income comes from what he calls “paid friendships.” According to him, people are willing to pay for his presence at social events, private gatherings, and even casual hangouts. This, he says, has become a structured and recurring income stream.

He explained, “I get lots of paid invitations. Sometimes people just pay to hang out with me.” He further described the concept in detail, saying, “You can buy the friendship with the boy who is friends with everyone. It’s a sellable experience,” he said.

Orry also explained how these arrangements work in real life. He said clients can book him for weddings, birthdays, lunches, and dinners, where he participates like a guest but under a paid arrangement. “So for Rs 15-25 lakh, you can buy me lunch or dinner. I will come to your wedding, birthday… I will come and give a speech, hang out with your friends, have shots with you. It is an experience that you can buy. And if you buy it many times, like some people have bought it again and again and now, I am actually friends with them,” he said and added, “You can buy me as your best friend.”

Orry’s appearance fee ranges roughly between $18,000 and $30,000 per event, depending on the arrangement. He also said that while he could charge more, he intentionally keeps a cap on his pricing. “For a meet and greet type thing, it is Rs 15-25 lakh. I don’t push it more than that, even though I could, I don’t,” he said.

Orry added that sometimes these paid appearances go beyond the scheduled time if he is enjoying the event, blurring the line between work and social interaction. When discussing his finances overall, he revealed that his monthly income varies significantly based on deals and appearances. Interestingly, he also shared that he spends only about 5 per cent of what he earns, while his parents manage his finances since he considers money a “foreign concept.”

Originally known for his close association with Bollywood celebrities, Orry has now carved out a unique space for himself in the influencer economy. However, his rising fame has also brought controversy, including a recent public fallout with actress Sara Ali Khan and her family.
