The latest celebrity who has been voted out from the popular celebrity dance reality show Strictly Come Dancing has been revealed.
It was former Love Island star Zara McDermott and her professional partner Graziano Di Prima who bid adieu to the show.
This comes after a week when Amanda Abbington announced her departure from the show, after missing week five on medical grounds.
Before the fifth eviction, every pair in the competition performed on a Halloween-themed number. Later, the judges’ scores were combined with the viewer votes. After the counting of the votes, McDermott and Di Prima found themselves in an intense dance-off with Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk.
Thomas and Mushtuk performed their American Smooth to “Magic Moments” by Perry Como, followed by McDermott and Di Prima taking to the floor once more to dance the Charleston to “Jeepers Creepers” by Al Donahue.
After their performances, all four judges decided to save Thomas and Mushtuk, leading to the elimination of Zara McDermott.
Talking about her elimination, McDermott said, “I have had the time of my life. Just to be here is incredible. Thank you to the judges and my amazing partner obviously. My fellow contestants are just incredible. It has been the most amazing experience. I can’t believe it’s over but I am going to be here in spirit every week supporting them.”
The stars who are still in the competition on Strictly are:
Actor and model Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell
Broadcaster Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley
Actress Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola
Actress Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin
Tennis ace Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe
Actor Nigel Harman and Katya Jones
