Bhumi Pednekar starts learning Kathak during the lockdown

Bhumi Pednekar is surely one of the most talented actresses we have in Bollywood. During the lockdown, the actress has started learning something new and that is Kathak. Bhumi is learning Kathak, from her mother, Sumitra Pednekar, who is a trained dancer of this discipline.

While talking about it, the actress stated, “I wanted to learn Kathak for a long time as my mother is a trained Kathak dancer! So, for about an hour in evening this is what me and my mom do. She is quite enjoying it and I’m loving learning it from her!”

Bhumi also revealed that as a child she used to read a lot and now the lockdown has made her get back to the habit of reading. She said, “I was a voracious reader but since entering Bollywood I haven’t got a chance to read something at a stretch. But now, I have got all the time and I’m making full use of the time at hand. I have been watching TED talks and have been reading a lot about climate change because that is something, I am severely passionate about. This time has been very educational for me.”

Just like everyone in the industry, Bhumi is also uncertain about when she will be back on the sets. The actress stated, “It has put a big question mark on when will we get back to work and how things are going to be. There’s a lot of uncertainty. Of course, our dates and schedules have gone haywire and we can’t plan anything.”

Bhumi was last seen on the big screen in Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship. The actress had an extended cameo in the movie. She currently has some interesting films in her kitty. Bhumi will be seen in movies like Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Durgavati, Badhaai Do, and Takht. The shooting of Takht was supposed to kickstart in April this year, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, the shooting schedule has been postponed.
