IN a shocking revelation, a woman in her mid-30s committed suicide after she was allegedly forced to undergo abortions by her live-in partner as many as 14 times! The incident happened in Delhi. According to police, the woman took the drastic step in Jaitpur area of Southeast Delhi on July 5.
The cops found a suicide note in Hindi from the house which revealed that she was in a relationship with a man who had physical relationship with her on the pretext of marrying her. The victim alleged that the man did not keep his promise at the end and she had no other choice but ending her life.
The woman was reportedly staying separately from her husband.
The police received a call on July 5 about the incident and a team was sent to the spot where the woman was found hanging. She was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences where she was declared brought dead, said a senior police officer.
Sources in the police said that the accused man works in a software firm based out of Noida near Delhi and a case was registered against him on grounds of abatement of suicide.
The police recovered the victim's mobile phone and the stool she used for hanging herself. Her parents in Muzaffarpur in the eastern Indian state of Bihar were informed and her mortal remains were handed over to them after autopsy.
