Ranveer Singh has finally revealed his much-discussed look from his upcoming film Pralay, days after trying to keep his appearance under wraps at the airport. The actor showed off his new avatar while attending the launch of BMW’s new 7 Series, where he appeared as the brand ambassador.
For the event, Ranveer opted for an all-black suit with a crisp white shirt, glasses, a leather belt and matching shoes. His appearance quickly drew attention as fans had been waiting to see the look after photographs from the film’s set surfaced online.
Ranveer’s Pralay look sparks fan reaction
Ranveer recently made headlines after photos reportedly taken on the sets of Pralay circulated on social media. The images showed the actor alongside several other members of the cast, including a photograph in which he appeared to be carrying a child.
The leaked pictures led some fans to compare his appearance with his character in the Dhurandhar franchise, which became one of his biggest recent successes.
Pralay is currently in production and is reportedly being made as a zombie thriller. Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, is directing the movie.
First film after Dhurandhar success
Pralay is expected to be Ranveer’s first release following the success of the Dhurandhar franchise, which reportedly earned more than Rs 3,000 crore worldwide.
The actor has been selective about his projects following the franchise’s success. He also exited Don 3, in which he had been set to take over the lead role. His departure sparked controversy, with reports that film industry bodies became involved in the dispute.
Reports also claimed that Excel Entertainment sought $4.18 million in damages from Ranveer following his exit from the project.
Before Dhurandhar, Ranveer’s last major release was the 2023 romantic family drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He also appeared in a cameo in Singham Again.
Kalyani Priyadarshan joins the cast
Pralay also features Kalyani Priyadarshan, who recently gained attention for her performance in Lokah: Chapter 1. The film’s plot and Ranveer’s character details have largely been kept under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
The actor is also set to embrace another major change in his personal life, as he and wife Deepika Padukone are expecting their second child. The couple welcomed their daughter, Dua, in 2024 and recently marked her second birthday.
With Ranveer now publicly revealing his Pralay appearance, curiosity around the film is expected to grow as production continues.
