Nawazuddin Siddiqui found himself on the receiving end of Samay Raina’s sharp humor during his appearance on India’s Got Latent Season 2, with the comedian digging into one of the actor’s recent films.
Samay Raina takes aim at Thamma
Raina first praised Nawazuddin’s work in Sacred Games before joking about the actor’s character and the show’s darker themes. Nawazuddin played along, replying, “I came prepared the same way today.”
Raina then turned his attention to Thamma, the horror-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. He asked Nawazuddin directly, “Sir, why did you do Thamma? Why did you even make it?”
Nawazuddin appeared to pause at the question before responding, “Thamma?” He then simply said, “Well, it got made. It’s done.”
“Please choose your words wisely”
The conversation also included a pointed moment when Raina warned Nawazuddin about his choice of words.
“Please choose your words wisely. People in this seat have said some outrageous things,” Raina said.
The remark appeared to reference Ranveer Allahbadia, who previously occupied the same seat on India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia became embroiled in a major controversy following his appearance on the show last year.
Nawazuddin joins season 2 lineup
Nawazuddin is among the latest Bollywood names to appear on the second season of India’s Got Latent. The season has also featured guests including Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Medha Shankr and Varun Dhawan.
The actor most recently appeared in Main Actor Nahin Hoon, which premiered in May 2026. Meanwhile, Thamma crossed the $11.7 million mark despite receiving mixed reviews
