Minerva Academy

Ciro Minopoli leads the young cast alongside Biagio Venditti and Margherita Buoncristiani. Brothers

Toy Story 5

Habeas Corpus

Marjorie Estiano plays Inez, who brings together a group of students to review the case of a young man who insists that he was wrongly convicted. Among them is Marina, played by Any Gabrielly. Netflix describes Habeas Corpus as its first legal drama from Brazil. The series combines courtroom tension with melodrama and gradually reveals secrets, rivalries and moral ambiguities as the characters search for answers. It premieres with eight episodes on September 23.

Rachel Marsh plays Anh, Olive's best friend, while Nicholas Duvernay and other supporting performers complete the ensemble. Prime Video says the movie streams globally from September 23. The adaptation keeps the central fake-dating setup of Hazelwood's novel while translating the academic romance into a feature-length romantic comedy.

Wonka's The Golden Ticket

Instead of following fictional characters, the series places real contestants at the center of games, tests and unexpected challenges. The concept draws directly from the imagery and mythology surrounding Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, while turning the factory into a competition arena.

The series arrives on Netflix on September 23 as part of the platform's expanding unscripted programming. Reports say the competition was created around the 55th anniversary of the 1971 film, with contestants competing for a major prize.

A Different World

Deborah arrives at Hillman for her freshman year carrying the expectations that come with being the daughter of two characters who helped define the original show. Rather than simply repeating her parents' story, she wants to create her own identity and establish a life separate from their legacy.

The new series explores friendships, romance, family expectations, campus life and contemporary issues facing college students. Kadeem Hardison and Jasmine Guy return, connecting the new story to the original Hillman universe. Netflix describes the show as a 10-episode series centered on Deborah and her new group of friends.

My Sad Dead

Her situation changes when her niece Julie, played by Dolores Fonzi, arrives and a series of disturbing events begins to affect the neighborhood. The murder of three teenagers in Piedrabuena triggers a supernatural phenomenon in which the dead begin making their presence known.

The four-episode miniseries blends family drama, horror and supernatural mystery. Netflix describes Ema's ability as something that has long been a personal burden, but the arrival of Julie causes the phenomenon to expand beyond her private world. The series premieres on September 24 following its presentation at the San Sebastián Film Festival.

Shaque: Trust No One

Don't Be Shy

The Final Problem

His experience playing the famous detective unexpectedly becomes useful when he begins investigating the death. He joins forces with Foxá, an aspiring thriller writer played by Martiño Rivas, while María Valverde plays Adela Figueroa, one of the hotel's mysterious guests.

Maribel Verdú plays Mrs. Ausländer, the hotel manager. As the investigation develops, everyone inside the hotel becomes a potential suspect because nobody can enter or leave the island. The four-episode series is based on Arturo Pérez-Reverte's bestselling novel and combines a period setting with a classic locked-room mystery.

UNABOMBER

UNABOMBER dramatizes the life of Ted Kaczynski, following his development from a young Harvard student into the man later known as the Unabomber. Jacob Tremblay plays the young Kaczynski, while Russell Crowe portrays Harvard psychologist Henry Murray.

The movie moves between two periods. One follows Kaczynski's years as a young Harvard student and his involvement in psychological experiments. The other follows the FBI investigation years later as agents attempt to identify and capture the person responsible for a series of mail bombings.

Shailene Woodley plays FBI agent Joanne Miller, who becomes part of the investigation. Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg and Marc Menchaca also appear. Directed by Janus Metz and written by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves, the film is inspired by real events but presents a dramatized version of Kaczynski's story. Netflix has confirmed September 25 as its release date.

Backrooms

Backrooms brings Kane Parsons' internet-born horror concept to feature-film length. The story follows a furniture store owner who discovers a strange doorway in the basement of a showroom. Instead of leading somewhere ordinary, the doorway opens into an apparently endless network of interconnected rooms where normal rules of space and time no longer apply.

Chiwetel Ejiofor leads the film as the missing furniture store owner, while Renate Reinsve plays his therapist. Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett and Lukita Maxwell are also part of the cast. Parsons directs the feature after developing the Backrooms concept through his earlier online work.

The film builds its horror around isolation, uncertainty and the fear of being trapped in an environment that appears to have no clear exit. A24 released the movie theatrically in the US in May before its digital and streaming rollout. HBO Max begins streaming Backrooms on September 25.

S.W.A.T. Exiles

The new team creates a very different challenge for Hondo. He must deal with inexperienced officers, clashing personalities and a generation gap while trying to turn them into a functioning tactical unit. At the same time, he has to deal with the consequences of his own past and his complicated relationship with the department.

Patrick St. Esprit returns as Hondo's former commander, Hicks. The new cast includes Lucy Barrett, Freddy Miyares, Zyra Gorecki, Ronen Rubinstein and Adain Bradley. Sony Pictures Television has confirmed the September 25 Starz premiere and international sales across major regions.

What makes this week stand out

The September 21-27 lineup covers almost every major streaming category, from family animation and romantic comedy to horror, crime and courtroom drama.
