Taapsee Pannu on Looop Lapeta, an official adaptation of German thriller Run Lola Run

By: Aswathy P

After impressing everyone with her power-packed performance in Thappad (2020), Taapsee Pannu is looking forward to her forthcoming projects. The award-winning actress has almost half a dozen movies on his platter right now, one of them being Looop Lapeta, an official adaptation of German thriller Run Lola Run (1998).

Talking about the remake, Pannu told a publication that Looop Lapeta will not be as radical as the original. “The humour in Looop Lapeta is dry, sarcastic and situational. It comes more from the pauses than punchlines. We don’t want to copy the film scene by scene. Also, it is not that radical anymore,” said the actress.

Taapsee Pannu went on to reveal that she was gearing up to go abroad to shoot for Anurag Kashyap’s horror film before the Coronavirus lockdown was imposed. “Now, we have to wait till travel restrictions are lifted. But Anurag finishes a film within 35 days, so we just have to reach the location and brace ourselves for a start-to-end schedule. I am not worried,” she said.

About her next Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu says, “If we get back on track in May, we cannot kick-off Rashmi Rocket in Kutch as the Rann will be scorching around that time. Similarly, Looop Lapeta will be shot across Mumbai and in Goa. If it is raining, how will I run?”

In addition to Looop Lapeta and Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu also stars in such upcoming films as Haseen Dillruba and Shabaash Mithu. She is also in talks for some projects down south.
