‘This is weird’: Twitter go crazy as West Indies-India 2nd T20 gets delayed for bizarre reason

THE second T20 international cricket match between the West Indies and India on Monday (1) got delayed because of an unusual rain. There was no rain nor any other disturbance but still the game at Warner Park, St Kitts and Nevis, got delayed by two hours because of “significant delays in crucial team luggage” from Trinidad where the first match was played on Friday (29).

Cricket West Indies (CWI) said in an official statement on Monday that it regretted the delay in the arrival of luggage caused.

“CWI regrets any inconvenience caused to our valued fans, sponsors, broadcast partners and all other stakeholders,” it said.

“Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St. Kitts from Trinidad,” it said.

The match, which was scheduled to begin at 8 pm IST will now begin at 10 pm IST.

Reactions soon started pouring in Twitter as fans posted memes and funny clips to make the cricketers’ unique experience hilarious.
