WEEKS after a firing incident took place outside his residence in the western Indian city of Mumbai, veteran Bollywood actor Salman Khan flew to London recently and pictures of his visit were shared on social media by Barry Gardiner MP.

The 58-year-old actor was seen conversing with the British parliamentarian in one of the pictures.

“Tiger is Alive and is in London. A pleasure to welcome @BeingSalmanKhan to Wembley today,” the Labour parliamentarian captioned the photos of himself with the Bollywood star on Monday (29), referring to him by the name of one of his screen avatars ‘Tiger’. The Brent North MP wrote it in Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu.

The actor’s fans were elated to get a glimpse of their favourite star.

One of them wrote, “Casual jeans and a t-shirt only suit this man. No one can carry such simple clothes effortlessly. Love u #SalmanKhan sir (sic).”

Another said, “Biggest Megastar of the Indian Film Industry Salman Khan with the MP of Brent North (sic).”

A third wrote, “What a look,” with heart emojis.

The ‘Tiger 3’ actor has resumed work after the firing incident outside his house on April 14. He reportedly had asked his team not to alter his schedule after the incident and did not want to pay it much attention either. Two motorcycle-borne men were seen opening fire outside Khan’s house in Mumbai’s Bandra area early in the morning and fled the spot.

Four suspects were later arrested. One of them, who was accused of supplying the firearm that was used for the firing, died after allegedly attempting suicide in police custody. He breathed his last in a hospital where he was taken in a critical condition.

A couple of guns related to the incident were also recovered by the police.

Salman Khan, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, forms the Khan trio that had emerged among Bollywood’s big names in the post-Amitabh Bachchan era.

Of late, Khan has been receiving death threats and has been moving around with high security around him.
