MUSIC icon Elton John has disclosed that he is experiencing “limited vision” in one eye due to a severe infection. The announcement follows his knee replacement surgery in January.
In a recent Instagram post, John detailed his ongoing recovery process. “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye,” he said.
John, 77, noted that while he is healing, the return of full sight will be a slow process.
John expressed his appreciation for the care he has received during this period. “I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks,” he said.
The British musician, known for hits like “Rocket Man” and “Tiny Dancer,” has spent the summer recuperating at home and remains optimistic about his recovery.
In related news, John announced that his documentary, “Elton John: Never Too Late,” is set to premiere on Disney+ in December.
