Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have left little to the imagination in a playful new campaign for their tequila brand.
The couple posed pantsless while tailgating in Western-inspired outfits, with cowboy hats and boots completing the look. McConaughey shared the image on Instagram with the caption, “Tailgates and tanlines.”
The unusual photoshoot is part of a new campaign for Pantalones, the tequila company founded by McConaughey and Alves.
A very different kind of tailgate
In the campaign image, McConaughey and Alves stand beside a truck while holding drinks and showing off their cowboy-inspired looks.
Alves wears a coral top beneath a fringed jacket, paired with cowboy boots and a hat. McConaughey wears a tan jacket over a white collared shirt, along with matching Western-style accessories.
The couple's decision to go pantsless fits the playful branding behind Pantalones, with the campaign arriving just as football season gets underway.
McConaughey and Alves’ life away from the campaign
The couple, who married in 2012, recently enjoyed a rare date night in New York City.
They were photographed having dinner at Balthazar in SoHo, with McConaughey wearing a khaki shirt and black trousers. Alves opted for a silver pinstriped suit with a black bandeau top and colorful sneakers.
The pair share three children, Levi, Vida and Livingston.
Why McConaughey says marriage takes work
Earlier this year, McConaughey opened up about his relationship with Alves and explained why he believes marriage requires ongoing effort.
Speaking on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, the actor said it is “humanly impractical” for couples to remain in the honeymoon phase forever.
He also argued that constantly expecting perfection in a relationship can put unfair pressure on both partners.
The comments offer a more personal look at the couple behind their deliberately cheeky business campaigns, while their latest Pantalones photos show they are still happy to have fun with their public image.
