A moment on the red carpet that stood out
Millie Bobby Brown turned heads at the UK premiere of Stranger Things Season 5, this time for her reaction rather than her outfit. The 21-year-old attended the event at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, joining her castmates for the long-awaited season launch.
Brown arrived in a black and gray Ashi Studio Fall 2025 Couture look, featuring a corset top and an asymmetrical tulle skirt with a sweeping train. Walking the carpet with Noah Schnapp, who wore a beige coat and black trousers, she posed confidently for photographers before the atmosphere shifted.
As she stood for photos, photographers repeatedly urged her to smile. Brown replied, “Smile? You smile!” before walking off the carpet.
Fans praise her for pushing back
The moment, shared widely after Entertainment Tonight posted the clip, drew overwhelming support across social platforms. Many viewers applauded Brown for responding directly to an instruction often directed at women on red carpets.
Fans left comments praising her self-assurance and calling the interaction relatable. Others highlighted how frequent and uncomfortable such demands can be, especially for female celebrities.
Cast reunites for the Season 5 premiere
Alongside Brown and Schnapp, the event featured a full turnout from the Stranger Things ensemble. Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo with Elizabeth Yu, and Jamie Campbell Bower with Elena Taber joined creators Matt and Ross Duffer and executive producer Shawn Levy.
The premiere marked one of the most anticipated red carpet moments for the cast as they promote the final season of the hit Netflix series.
