Naga Chaitanya’s father, actor Nagarjuna, shared the first official wedding pictures on social media and welcomed Shobita into the Akinneni family

NAGA CHAITANYA and Sobhita Dhulipala were married in a traditional ceremony at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, on Wednesday night.
The wedding venue, a significant location for the Akkineni family, also honored the centenary of Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR).
Naga Chaitanya’s father, actor Nagarjuna, shared the first official wedding pictures on social media, writing, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me. Congratulations to my beloved Chay, and welcome to the family dear Sobhita—you’ve already brought so much happiness into our lives.”
The wedding’s symbolic setting, Annapurna Studios, added to the occasion’s significance.
Referring to the family’s connection to the location, Nagarjuna noted, “This celebration holds even deeper meaning as it unfolds under the blessings of ANR garu’s statue, installed to mark his centenary year. It feels as though his love and guidance are present with us in every step of this journey. I thank the countless blessings showered upon us today with gratitude.”
Chaitanya and Sobhita, who got engaged in August, were rumoured to have been dating since 2022 after they were spotted on a vacation in Europe.
Chaitanya was previously married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu from 2017 to 2021.

Meanwhile, actor Rana Daggubati, cousin to Naga Chaitanya, teased the upcoming episode of his chat show featuring the newlywed. In a teaser shared on Instagram, Naga Chaitanya opened up about his plans for family life.
When asked by Rana, “What would you imagine your family look like?” Naga Chaitanya responded, “Happily married, couple of kids.”
He added, “Probably I’m going to take my son to race track. Go-kart with him. If I have a daughter, whatever hobbies she has, I want to spend those moments with them.”
The teaser also included unseen pictures of the couple from their dating days. Rana captioned the post, “Chay and me… dynamic duo or double trouble? You decide!”
