Rhea Singha from Gujarat has been crowned Miss Universe India 2024, and she will now represent the country at the global Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
The grand finale of Miss Universe India 2024 was held on Sunday in Jaipur.
Rhea (19) calls herself ‘TEDx Speaker| Actor’ in her Instagram bio.
After winning the event, she told ANI that she had worked hard to be worthy of this crown and has been inspired by previous winners.
Singh was crowned by Miss Universe India 2015, Urvashi Rautela, who served as a judge at the event.
Rautela expressed hope that India will win the Miss Universe crown this year. She lauded the participants for their hard work and dedication.
Singha will now prepare to represent India at the Miss Universe 2024 competition, which will take place later this year.

The phase 3 trial involved 1,137 patients with high-risk melanoma.
The vaccine was tested alongside pembrolizumab, an established immunotherapy.
The treatment remains experimental and must undergo regulatory review before it can become widely available.
The treatment, called intismeran autogene, is being developed jointly by pharmaceutical companies Merck and Moderna. It is designed for people with high-risk melanoma whose tumors have been surgically removed, with the aim of reducing the chance of the cancer returning.
Unlike vaccines that prevent infections, this is a therapeutic cancer vaccine. It uses messenger RNA (mRNA) technology to help the immune system recognize features unique to a patient's tumor.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has introduced Obeda Pro and Obeda Plus in India’s semaglutide market.
Supplies of the original Obeda injection were halted in July after the company discovered an impurity in the active ingredient.
The new products are manufactured by Hetero Labs, while OneSource Specialty Pharma produced the original injection.
Dr Reddy’s said development and launch planning for the new brands began before the supply disruption and denied that they were launched to replace Obeda.
Semaglutide is used to treat diabetes and is also the active ingredient in Novo Nordisk’s weight-loss drug Wegovy.
Pharmarack estimated that India’s domestic semaglutide market could reach ₹80 billion ($843.99 million) by 2030.

DR REDDY’S Laboratories has introduced two new brands, Obeda Pro and Obeda Plus, in India’s semaglutide market following supply disruptions affecting its existing Obeda injection, according to product photographs and marketing materials reviewed by Reuters.
