The speculation began after Salman attended the inauguration of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority's newly developed Data Collection and Verification Support Centre in Mumbai. Dressed casually in a cap, shirt, and denim jeans, the actor appeared at the event as part of a goodwill visit. However, videos and photos from the inauguration quickly spread across social media, with many fans focusing less on the event itself and more on Salman's appearance.
Several users suggested the actor looked exhausted, while others wondered if he was dealing with a health issue. The viral clips fueled online debate, with many expressing concern for the 60-year-old actor. Although Salman did not directly address the speculation, he appeared to respond in his own way just days later.
On Sunday, the actor shared a series of black-and-white photographs on Instagram, showing himself dressed in a denim jacket and cowboy hat. Instead of commenting on the rumors, Salman posted a short caption that many interpreted as a subtle response to the online conversation surrounding his health.
He wrote, "Aap logon ki tabiyat kaisi hai" (How is everyone's health) (sic)?
The post quickly drew attention, with fans viewing it as Salman's lighthearted way of acknowledging the speculation while reassuring followers without making a direct statement.
Around the same time, Salman's brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, spoke about the actor's life away from the spotlight during an interview with Lallantop Cinema. Sharing a glimpse into the Khan family's private world, Aayush explained that Salman's Panvel farmhouse has become the actor's favorite escape from the constant attention that comes with being one of Bollywood's biggest stars.
Recalling a popular saying within the family, Aayush said, "Bhai ne farm pe bulaya hai... toh sabka ek takiya kalaam hai, 'Chalo farm chalte hain.' Lekin wahan sirf wahi jaata hai jisko bulawa aata hai." (Whenever Bhai invites someone to the farmhouse, everyone says, "Let's go to the farm." But only those who receive an invitation get to go.)
He added that visiting the farmhouse comes with one unusual condition.
"Wahan Bhai zyada time rehte hain. Toh jab farm pe bulate hain... apni marzi se jaoge, lekin wapas tab aaoge jab woh bolenge." (Bhai spends most of his time at the farmhouse. You go to the farmhouse with your own wish, but you leave only when Bhai wishes.)
The remarks painted a picture of Salman as someone who values privacy and prefers spending extended periods at his sprawling Panvel retreat whenever his schedule allows. For years, the farmhouse has served as the actor's sanctuary, offering a break from the relentless public attention that follows him.
Despite the recent health speculation, Salman continues to stay busy professionally. He is gearing up for the release of Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangada Singh. The actor is also expected to reunite with Nayanthara for director Vamshi Paidipally's upcoming film, tentatively titled SVC 63, which is slated for release around Eid 2027.
