Vicky Kaushal on watching Katrina Kaif as a mother
Vicky said some of his most meaningful moments come from seeing Katrina happy with their son.
“To just see your wife’s happiness in that moment and your child giggling, and you in that moment… You just feel that if you could pause this, you could just live this more,” he said.
The actor added that fatherhood has made him feel deeply satisfied at different points over the past 10 months.
He recalled moments such as his son’s first cry, new expressions and gestures, describing them as experiences that can make him feel as though he does not need anything more.
Fatherhood has changed Vicky’s outlook
Vicky also said becoming a parent has made him more sensitive and responsible.
He explained that he has started paying closer attention to his own behaviour because his son’s earliest lessons will come from what he sees at home.
“Your child’s first learning is going to be subconsciously what he sees at home,” Vicky said.
He added that he has never monitored himself as closely as he has since becoming a father, because he wants his son to learn positive behaviour from him.
Katrina and Vicky’s life as new parents
The couple has largely kept their son out of the public eye while occasionally speaking about their experience of parenthood.
Vicky’s latest comments offer a glimpse into how the birth of their first child has affected him, particularly the importance he places on watching Katrina experience motherhood.
For the actor, those quiet family moments have become some of the most meaningful parts of his life.
