What is Verity about?
The story follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer played by Dakota Johnson, whose life takes a dramatic turn when she is offered an unusual opportunity. After a devastating accident leaves celebrated novelist Verity Crawford unable to complete her work, Lowen is hired to move into the Crawford family’s remote home and finish Verity’s bestselling book series.
But what initially looks like the opportunity of a lifetime soon becomes something much darker.
While staying at the Crawford estate, Lowen discovers what appear to be Verity’s autobiographical notes. The pages contain disturbing revelations about the novelist’s life, her marriage to Jeremy and the events surrounding her family.
