Yami Gautam and Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar have been at the center of reports suggesting they are moving away from Mumbai and making Himachal Pradesh their home base.
The couple is reportedly drawn to a quieter lifestyle away from Mumbai’s constant spotlight. Yami has a strong connection to Himachal Pradesh and owns a century-old heritage property in Gohar, Mandi, where she and Aditya also got married in 2021.
However, the reported move has not been confirmed by the couple. Aditya’s team has now clarified that there are no plans for the filmmaker and actor to relocate to Himachal Pradesh permanently.
Inside Yami Gautam’s 100-year-old Himachal home
Yami purchased the property before her marriage to Aditya. The estate reportedly covers 25 acres and features a traditional Himachali home built with wood and stone.
The property has gardens and farmland where fruits and vegetables including apples, potatoes, plums and ginger are reportedly grown. Reports have also described a greenhouse and organic kitchen garden on the estate.
The home is reportedly worth around ₹8 crore, which is approximately $900,000. The reported valuation has not been publicly confirmed by Yami.
Rather than turning the property into an elaborate celebrity residence, Yami and Aditya are said to have retained its traditional character, with its rustic architecture and natural surroundings.
Why Himachal is special to the couple
Himachal Pradesh has a personal connection for Yami, who was born in Bilaspur. The couple also chose the state for their intimate wedding in June 2021.
The pair have generally kept their personal lives private and have largely stayed away from the spotlight outside their professional commitments. Reports of them spending more time at their Himachal property led to speculation that they were preparing to leave Mumbai.
For now, however, that remains unconfirmed. While the 100-year-old home continues to be an important property for the couple, Aditya’s team has said they are not relocating to Himachal Pradesh.
