Diljit Dosanjh is set to return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking his second appearance after his debut in 2024. The Punjabi singer-actor shared a preview of the episode, which quickly gained attention online.

In the preview clips, Dosanjh brings his signature energy to the show. He is seen teaching bhangra moves to host Jimmy Fallon. As he demonstrates the dance, he says, “You can do Bhangra on any beat,” before breaking into the steps.

Behind-the-scenes moments from the set were also shared. In one clip, a member of his team opens the studio door and says, “Kya lagta tha nahi lautenge? [You thought we would not come back?]” The camera then shows Dosanjh sitting near a piano. He says, “Kaha tha na ke ek baar Punjabi aa jayein toh chethi nahi jaate… Jimmy Fallon aa gaye oye [We told you, once a Punjabi shows up, they don't leave in a hurry… We are here at Jimmy Fallon." He then begins performing bhangra as his track Morni plays.

Dosanjh first appeared on the show in 2024. During that debut, he performed songs like G.O.A.T. and Born to Shine. He was introduced as the “biggest Punjabi artist on the planet.” His performance included energetic bhangra moves and received a strong response from the audience.

With this second appearance, Dosanjh becomes one of the few Indian artists to be invited to the show more than once. His return highlights his growing presence on international platforms.

At the same time, his global visibility has also brought back earlier discussions about his English-speaking skills. Dosanjh has often said in public that he does not know English. However, a video that surfaced in 2025 showed him speaking English fluently during a conversation with a global music executive.

This led to online trolling, with some users questioning his earlier claims. Comments suggested that he had misled audiences about his language abilities. The resurfaced clip gained attention during the time of other controversies related to his film projects.

Despite this, Dosanjh has continued to focus on his work across music and film. His return to Fallon’s show reflects his ongoing success internationally.

Alongside his music career, he has also been active in films. He was recently seen in Border 2 and is set to appear in Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film is scheduled to release on June 12.

From performing on global stages to teaching bhangra on international television, Dosanjh continues to expand his reach while staying connected to his roots.
