Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, along with her husband Anand Piramal, was spotted at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on Tuesday, February 25. The couple participated in the sacred ritual of taking a holy dip on the second last day of Maha Kumbh 2025. A video shared by news agency ANI captured their spiritual visit.
Apart from Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, several other prominent figures from various fields were present at Maha Kumbh. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and her family were seen taking part in the ritual. The event also witnessed the presence of cricketers Ishant Sharma and Suresh Raina, singer Kailash Kher, producer Boney Kapoor, actors Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
International personalities also visited the Maha Kumbh this year. Laurene Powell, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, was spotted among the devotees. Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin and Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson also attended the grand spiritual gathering, highlighting the event’s global appeal.
Maha Kumbh 2025 has emerged as one of India’s largest religious gatherings, with nearly 60 crore devotees already taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. According to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh government, the number is expected to exceed 65 crore by Wednesday, February 26, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, which marks the festival’s conclusion. Maha Kumbh 2025 began on January 12 and will officially end on February 26.
While the event has attracted high-profile personalities, millions of ordinary devotees have also made their way to Prayagraj. However, they have faced significant price surges in flights, accommodations, and local transportation.
A report by LocalCircles revealed that 87% of air travelers to Prayagraj paid between 50% and 300% more than usual airfares. Similarly, 67% of visitors staying in the city reported higher hotel rates due to the overwhelming demand and limited availability. Despite these challenges, Maha Kumbh 2025 has drawn people from diverse backgrounds, reaffirming its significance as a spiritual and cultural phenomenon.
