Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' (Unite India March) on Tuesday (6) morning on a rather interesting note.
The 52-year-old leader was seen giving flying kisses to people who gathered at the rooftop of the office of the opponent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jhalawar in the north-western state of Rajasthan that the yatra entered over the weekend.
This happened a day after he targeted the BJP and its mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, asking why they were not chanting 'Jai Siyaram' and 'Hey Ram'.
The Rajasthan Youth Congress tweeted a video of Gandhi throwing the flying kisses and captioned it in Hindi: "Responding to hate only with love."
The yatra resumed from the Khel Sankul area where Gandhi halted on Monday (5) night and crossed Jhalawar city on Tuesday morning.
The leader was accompanied by Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan; former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot; and many other state ministers and legislators.
Even as Gandhi is taking out his yatra in Rajasthan, the party high command appointed senior Punjab Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa as the state's in-charge after Ajay Maken tendered his resignation.
Rajasthan will go to elections next year.
