US removes sanctions on 4 Indian companies previously accused of supplying Russia’s military supply chain

The United States has officially delisted four Indian companies that were earlier sanctioned over allegations of supplying advanced technology and equipment linked to Russia’s defense and industrial networks.

The companies were removed from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List, according to the US Department of the Treasury.

The four firms include Hyderabad-based RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited and Lokesh Machines Limited, Ahmedabad-based Galaxy Bearings, and New Delhi-based Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited.

Galaxy Bearings was previously sanctioned in October 2024, with US authorities accusing the company of exporting dual-use equipment such as roller bearings and assemblies to Russian entities.

Shaurya Aeronautics had been accused of shipping radar systems, radio navigation equipment, remote control apparatus, and other electrical components to Russia.

RRG Engineering Technologies was alleged to have sent more than 100 shipments of microelectronics to Russia-based entities already under sanctions, including Arteks Limited Company.

Lokesh Machines had also been accused of exporting machine tools to multiple Russian manufacturing firms.

The U.S. decision to remove the firms from the sanctions list marks a shift from earlier enforcement actions, which had targeted companies believed to be supporting Russia’s military-industrial base through indirect supply chains.
